Investec SA Open Championship
Dear Technopark Community
We would like to inform you that Technopark will form part of the logistics footprint for the Investec SA Open Championship, one of South Africa’s most prestigious international golf tournaments, hosted at the Stellenbosch Golf Club.
Event dates:
Tournament week: 23 February – 1 March
Tournament days: 26 February – 1 March
This event will host international players and attract extensive local and international media coverage, placing Stellenbosch and Technopark in the national spotlight. We are proud to be associated with an event of this calibre and ask for your cooperation to help ensure its smooth and successful execution.
Impact on Access and Parking
During the tournament period, there will be temporary changes to traffic flow, parking and pedestrian movement within certain areas of Technopark:
Vehicle access to spectator parking and Park & Ride areas will be via Quantum Road
Access to Libertas (new gate) will be via Technopark Avenue
Parking areas will be cordoned off with danger tape and parking will be free of charge
Signage will guide visitors from parking areas to the golf course
Visitors may park elsewhere in Technopark; however, no stopping zones will apply along sections of Quantum Road
Pedestrians will be directed to walk on the right-hand side of Quantum Road, with cones in place to slow traffic
Security will be on site day and night, with parking attendants assisting guests
Peak movement is expected to be limited, with a steady flow of vehicles throughout the day. A traffic officer will be on standby at the R44 / Technopark entrance should congestion occur.
Preparation and Clean-Up
Parking areas will be mowed and prepared ahead of the event
Signage and demarcation will be installed between 20–25 February
Bins will be provided, and areas will be cleaned daily
All signage and danger tape will be removed after the event

As Technopark has a single access route, your understanding and flexibility during this period are greatly appreciated. Small adjustments in daily routines, where possible, will contribute to the success of the event and help showcase Technopark as a well-managed, collaborative and professional precinct.
Should you require any further information or have specific concerns, the JOC (joint operating centre) number will be made available closer to the date.
